Luis Suárez’s recent history is a tale of talent living on: known as one of the best strikers of recent times with historic stints at European greats such as Liverpool, FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, the forward returned to the Uruguay National Team in 2022 to prepare for the Qatar World Cup. From there he moved to Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense for a new adventure in South America.
This Wednesday, on the last day of the Brasileirão, won by an Endrick goal for Palmeiras, he said goodbye with a brace. Despite the sadness of this era coming to an end, his next step is arguably even more fascinating: Inter Miami and Major League Soccer.

Suárez to finally reunite with Messi
As has been mentioned in recent months, the Uruguayan marksman finshes his contract with the Brazilian side at the end of 2023 and from 2024 he will join up with ‘The Herons’ to reunite with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Although it is true that they were no longer fighting to win the title this season in Brazil, the legendary ‘9′ scored two goals against the Copa Libertadores champions, Fluminense. With the brace, Suárez said goodbye to his experience in Brazil from the pitch at the Maracanã Stadium, one of the most historic grounds in world football.
