The Revs issued a brief statement via Twitter announcing the move:

The New England Revolution have accepted the resignation of Bruce Arena. We wish Bruce the best and thank him for his contribution to the team. Curt Onalfo will continue as interim Sports Director and Richie Williams will continue as interim Head Coach as the team prepares to close out the 2023 season. Arena joined the club on May 14, 2019, compiling a record of 60-3-42 in MLS during his tenure as head coach”, the club reported through a statement on its social networks.

MLS speaks out

“As a result of the investigation, which confirmed these allegations, should Arena wish to pursue future employment within MLS, he must first submit a petition to the Commissioner.

MLS is committed to safe and welcoming work environments and expects all employees of the League and its clubs to conduct themselves appropriately in the workplace”, confirmed the league via the official MLS website.
