Six Nations: Which teams will get off to the best possible start this weekend?

An exciting weekend of international rugby lies in prospect, with all the sides keen to lay down an early marker in this year´s tournament.

Wales vs England

The big clash of the weekend sees England face a trip to the Millenium Stadium, as Wales look to make it three wins in a row at home against their rivals across the border.

This will undoubtedly be an exciting match and it should all boil down to whether England´s defence can stem the flow of the Welsh attack. However, Wales will hope to start the game at a canter and George North to score the first try is at (insert odds).

Stuart Lancaster´s men, despite their injury woes, should still edge this match though by the smallest of margins. England to win by 1-5 points is at 5/1.

Italy vs Ireland

Perhaps the most clear cut of all the games this weekend is this match in Rome.

Ireland have really improved over the last couple of years and will look to get their defence of the Six Nations off to the best possible start. Ireland to win by 16-20 points is priced at 11/2 against the Italians.

France vs Scotland

Once again we have an unpredictable French side in this year´s tournament, with the usual question as to which French side will turn up, still remaining.

However, in Scotland they face a team that is still a long way off being able to compete for the Six Nations title and a daunting trip to France should prove too much for them. France to win by 16-20 points is at 6/1.

Expect a cagey start to the match, but we should see some of the usual attacking flair and style we associate with Les Bleus as the game progresses. Yoann Huget to score the first try is priced at 7/1
